About Balance


Welcome to Balance, a Hot Yoga AND Non Hot Yoga Studio on Viking Road in Cedar Falls, Iowa. Balance Hot Yoga’s practice is about guiding each student through the journey that is yoga. We absolutely love teaching hot yoga and non hot yoga to the Cedar Valley in a way you’ve never experienced before. Join us for an experience unrivaled in the area.


Balance Hot Yoga has been teaching Hot Yoga in the Cedar Valley for nearly 10 years. Balance opened its doors on College Hill in December, 2013, our main goal was to deliver high quality hot yoga to Cedar Falls and surrounding areas.  After almost 9 years we decided to expand and offer hot yoga AND non hot yoga classes.  In October 2022 we moved to 924 Viking Road and now have two beautiful studio spaces, in our new location, to offer a broader spectrum of yoga.  Both studios hold 35 practitioners.

Our Mission.

Balance’s mission is to guide each student, regardless of experience, through the physical and the spiritual journey of yoga. This studio’s name is meant to represent not only balance one experiences during the yoga session, but also the balance one can achieve in everyday life.

Our Classes.

Both studio spaces at Balance hold up to 35 practitioners; one room at 105 degrees and one room at room temperature. We reserve 20 spots for online registration. We encourage walk-ins, so please stop in for a class!! Click here to view our schedule.


Balance is a Hot AND Non Hot Yoga Studio, and will be offering a variety of class times specializing in Vinyasa Flow. Any level of student, beginner or advanced, will be able to participate and thrive! All classes will include pose modifications in order for each student to get the most out of their practice.


Vinyasa yoga is synchronized to the breath; it is a term that covers a broad range of yoga poses. This style is sometimes also called flow yoga, because of the smooth way that the poses run together. The breath becomes an important component and will help you move from one pose to the next on an inhale or an exhale.


Vinyasa is literally translated from Sanskrit as meaning “connection.” This connection is between movement and breath. This style allows for a lot of variety, but will certainly include sun salutations.

Hot yoga benefits your body because it assists by sweating out toxins while allowing you, the practitioner, to safely move deeper into your asanas (poses or stretches).


Practicing hot yoga can benefit your body and psyche by means of meditation and works exceedingly well to achieve balance & harmony helping the mind to act in synchronization with the body.


By performing hot yoga you engage your body in focused, deep breathing using heat to sweat out and detoxify impurities from the body. The result may be the removal of anxiety, toxins and the additional benefit of weight loss.
